Nomads in the sunshine…

Its fine to say that without rain we would not see all the gorgeous little hedgerow flowers that are popping up all around us at this time of the year. We are enjoying early blossoms this spring - brightening up our days and making lunch time walks a real pleasure.

Water conservation is a big part of growing organically. Using natural fertilizers requires far less watering than farming with chemical pesticides. The farmers save rainwater and use for watering the fields. Check out our new collection of organic cotton garments for spring as indicated by the logo

We are very fortunate at the warehouse to have country lanes in one direction and a vintage steam railway in the other. The train starts chugging away at Easter and it’s a comfort to hear the little “toot toots!” as it passes by.

Our spring dresses have really taken off this month - after record sales on the handloom coats and cardigans it’s nice to be able to take a layer off and enjoy a bit of sun. Cotton is the perfect fabric for warmer weather and we hope you enjoy the new collection

We’ve been featured in a couple of magazines recently. Flavour has picked up on our multi way satine top that can also be worn as a bubble skirt – a great little number for budget conscious shoppers. And Warwickshire Living has featured our gorgeous spring flower dresses on the cover. We love this happy picture of Donna and Cassie who are modelling these designs. They just sing spring
You might want to know that we are currently working on new handicraft designs to add to our collaboration with the TARA project (Trade Alternative Reform Action). Tara means “one who saves” and this is so true for the hundreds of children who are rescued out of sweatshops and put into free schools in Northern India. TARA also provides the community with group support for those who are disadvantaged through poverty and family loss.

We hope you like the eclectic collection of jewellery made by TARA project which funds the building and running of these schools and support centres. Using hand rolled magazines and a mixture of odd beads and buttons creates a whimsical piece which we know you will love to wear.

This spring we want to think about water and how important it is to us all (just as much as sunshine!) To feed us and to clothe us we need it every day. Say thanks to nature.

With Blessings
From all the Nomads
