February 2008

February has come around so soon. I can still recall drinking Juttamopolitans (one of my most fabulous cocktails) and dancing around the living room on New Years Eve. On the stroke of midnight I had such an overwhelming feeling that 2008 is going to be great! It has somewhat become a mantra in the office and I’m pleased to report that it was not just the large amounts of alcohol. We are all still feeling super positive and it just keeps on getting better and better!

February saw the wholesale side of the business show off the new spring summer range at trade shows. Trade shows are like exhibitions for independent retail shops to buy on a larger scale.

We could not wait to show off the new stock (especially the Organics) and as expected we received a great response! We have already had to reorder some ranges before it hits the shores. We were also chuffed to get our EV coat and jacket on the catwalk in London. It is amazing what happens when a life is put into Nomads clothes. It looked fab! If you would like to know who stocks Nomads Clothing in your area, please get in touch.

Little Nomads has been separated from the main catalogue. It was a tough decision – They grow up so quickly!

This also saw the wholesale department launching the new range all by itself at the Premier Kids Fair. The best thing about it was that we were put in the Eco section and lots of items were modeled on the catwalk by energetic little sparkly models. Once again the response was phenomenal. If you have not received a Little Nomads catalogue and would like one, don’t hesitate to give John a call or e-mail him.

We received about 75% of our spring summer stock into our warehouse at the end of the month. It is much lighter than winter, but boy oh boy there is a lot to count! The past couple of weeks have been mad busy dispatching all our retail and wholesale orders.

The sun will always shine out of Lisa’s bottom!!

I’d like to thank Team Nomads for all their hard work. Also, another shout out to Lisa – It was her birthday on the 8th!

Are you still drinking plenty of water and dancing? We are! We are also ALL going on the Aflame workshop in March... Watch this space!

Lots of Love and hugs

Jutta*
