January 2008

Welcome to the new look site and the New Year. I’m hoping that all is going well for everyone. Personally I’m feeling very positive at the moment, leaving behind many of the struggles of last year.

The organic range that Jo has been trying to get off the ground for some time now has finally come to fruition and we have launched our first organic collection for Spring/ Summer.

For many years now, I have been gardening organically and now it’s great that we are able

to contribute to the demand for organically grown cotton. Let’s hope that the response to the ranges from you guys is so good that we are able to extend the collection we can offer.

Talking of organic gardening, January comes as a well earned rest in the seasonal calendar. Just a little pottering and tidying up. This weekend I planted the garlic, incredibly easy to grow and store. An ideal crop.

So, onto things that I want to mention to the world. Things that I think are important and as I now have a forum for it, I shall spout forth!!

  • First and foremost. Look after yourself. Having been ill for the past week with one of these ridiculously virulent bugs, I have come to really appreciate my general ongoing health. Being ill makes being positive so much harder.

  • Drink lots of water, everyday. 2 litres is a good amount, great for everything including skin, weight loss and energy levels and trust me, within a few days you’re not running to the loo all the time. With this campaign in mind we have designed water bottle carriers, (which coincidently work for wine bottles as well!) See our bags section.

  • Eat well. There’s enough info about, and it’s so well worth the effort.

  • Keep your body working. Do some yoga and dance. Gentle exercise and have fun. (Then obviously you will look fantastic and feel beautiful in Nomads Clothing)

  • Hug people, it feels great. Appreciate those around you.

  • Make positive steps to improve your life and the lives of others. I have recently completed a weekend course entitled Aflame, which is all about affecting the change that you want to see in your life, it starts with a fire walk on the Friday night and continues with many other powerful structures that are designed to radically change the way you see yourself and empower you.

The next course is in March. Check it out www.aflameonline.com feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Lots of love

Vicky
