This year Nomads Clothing have introduced two organic cotton ranges of clothing. We hope to gradually switch all of our production to using organic cotton where applicable.

Inspecting factories throughout the year to ensure safe and humane working conditions and making improvements where necessary.

Prepaying our suppliers to prevent them from going into debt and to guarantee that workers are paid on time.

Checking wages are at or above the national average for the job and making sure that men and women are paid equally for the same job.

Refusal of any factory to employ children under the age of 16.

Encouraging traditional techniques in garment making to keep these ancient crafts alive (ie. tie dye; block printing; aree embroidery)

Buying from suppliers who use either AZO free or natural dyes as well as recycling waste fabric into rugs, bags and other clothing. Thus reducing the impact clothing manufacturing has on the local environmente

To promote The British Association for Fair Trade Shops (BAFTS) in the UK. To increase awareness for the need to shop responsibly and with a clear conscience – to push the multi-nationals into changing their working practices.
