A/W press/blogger event
On Thursday, we hosted a press/blogger event in a large Victorian railway arch in Bristol.
Hart's Bakery was filled with our fair trade, boho style blouses and dresses, kimonos, shift dresses and harem trousers, as well tasseled bunting made from our fabrics, platters of berries, figs, baklava and flat breads and autumnal floral displays. As guests arrived, they were treated to a glass of Prosecco or apple and ginger juice, together with a homemade scone with strawberry jam and Rodda's Cornish Clotted Cream. With a rail of our a/w collection, a dramatic heavy wooden screen and a Victorian mirror in situ, our guests tried on a selection of pieces, posing before the mirror and adding their own style to each piece. Our head designer Niki Groom, was in attendance too. As well as a designer, she is a wonderful illustrator and sketched each of the guests in their favourite Nomads piece. We also had a tasseled bag charm workshop, by the fabulous Decorator's Notebook. Bethan and Joe had a stall at the event selling their stunning ethcial homewares and jewellery. For refreshments, there was an abundence of berries and grapes, delicious flat breads, homemade homous, incredible baklava (from Bristanbul), fresh figs with honey, goat's cheese and thyme, and Prosecco, cucumber water and mint tea. Finally, gift bags included beautiful Carnica Bees soap, Rodda's Clotted Cream and straight from the Cornish shores, various types of super-healthy seaweed from The Cornish Seaweed Company.
