Behind the Scenes of our Autumn/Winter photoshoot
This season, our collection was inspired by our surroundings in beautiful Cornwall, so there was no question that our photoshoot would be in a wonderful Cornish Location
We were spoilt for choice, but eventually chose the tiny fishing village of Mousehole. The narrow streets, traditional cottages and picturesque harbour represent everything we love about our Cornish heritage. The village has a poignant place in Cornish history, as it was devastated in 1981 by the loss of the Penlee lifeboat, the Solomon Brown. 16 lives were lost, including eight volunteer lifeboat men. The lifeboat house at Penlee Point stands as a memorial, and the brave crew will never be forgotten.
The interior shots were taken at Carn Du, a beautiful Edwardian villa, set in an enviable spot within walking distance of Mousehole harbour. The team, including our wonderful photographer Simon and brilliant make-up artist Sophie were lucky enough to stay at Carn Du during shoot week, and thoroughly enjoyed their luxurious surroundings – making good use of the roaring log fires, large aga and Victorian enamelled bath! Discover Carn Du here.
“We always look forward to shoot week – it’s when we can finally see the product of all of our hard work come together. Whilst there’s always lots to do, we always manage to have fun as well!” – Kate – Head designer
