Too hot & too cool.
We’ve just returned from another trip to glorious India. It was bizarre to be working on our 2014 summer season when we are still waiting for spring to arrive but we soon got in to it once we saw some actual sunshine!
It was such an inspiring trip. Apart from the usual traditional Indian markets we also discovered some new emerging areas. Shahpur Jat in Delhi was our favourite, hosting vintage shops, cool cafes and cosy bookshops. The little lanes are like a maze, but it’s truly a joy to get lost in this bright and vibrant village.
Our tops tips? Pick up a streetmap from any of the shops if you get too lost. Wear trousers (our designer Niki wore our fair trade sage printed peg legs) as some of the shops are up steep stairs. Head to Café Les Parisiennes for a perfect cappuccino if you need a break from traditional chai...also it has the most beautiful toilet we think we've ever seen!!
