Lyocell is made from sustainable wood pulp, and as well as it’s green credentials, it has a beautifully soft texture and drape. The lyocell production process has minimal impact on the environment as the trees are grown organically without pesticides. Growing these trees also helps to improve soil quality, prevent soil erosion and retain water. The finished material is naturally breathable and completely biodegradable.
Lyocell is also anti-bacterial so needs washing less often than synthetic fibres.
We love Lyocell because
The breathable fibres of Lyocell will keep you warm and insulated in cold weather, and cool and comfortable in hot weather.
Your Lyocell garment will last a seriously long time, but when the time finally comes, organic cotton fibres will naturally decompose in soil.
The wood used to produce the Lyocell in our products comes from sustainably certified sources. Sustainable forestry certifications (SFC) give us the assurance that the wood we use will protect forests for the future. The trees used are grown organically, without pesticides and without the need for agricultural practises.
Lyocell needs washing less frequently than synthetic fibres, but when the time comes it is 100% machine washable.
The natural fibres of Lyocell are hypo-allergenic, making it the perfect choice for even the most sensitive skin.
